Our Latest Adventures- 2/14 Valentine's Day

Although the day was a bit cloudy, the weather failed to dampen our day! We started by taking some cutesy pictures in the snow, Dailen's sister, Brianna, took our photos. She is taking some photographing classes and it was so fun!

We then headed to do some bowling: Dailen absolutely CREAMED me the first game. Seriously, he got FIVE strikes! And THREE in a row- he got a turkey?? Seriously, we've bowled before but never like this, he was hitting strikes or spares the majority of the time. It was a new side to this man I've been married to for five years!
The second game, however, I finally had warmed up (apparently) and Dailen's streak suddenly faded. I ended up winning this one, but I'm still not sure quite how after such a crazy first game.

We also just had to order some of Jack and Jill's fries and root beer floats. How could we not dip back into a childhood taste?

After bowling, we pulled out a die. We decided to roll it 20 times and each time we came to a cross roads, we rolled it. 1 & 2 meant turn right, 3 & 4 meant go straight, and 5 & 6 meant turn left. We ended up, after many, many detours, about a half mile from where we started, at a restaurant we never noticed before. We ate at Arepon Venezolano- Venezuelan food! We both had super scrumptious arepas (and surprisingly really filling).

After eating our fill, we went to my parent's home and built (guess it)... A BLANKET FORT! Haha, just like being kids again. We pulled out the mini DVD player and watched Letters to Juliet. We're suckers for cute little love stories <3

Everyone kept peeking their heads in the pillow fort haha! It took up the entirety of the living room and I dare say a pretty good fort. ;)

I forgot pictures for the rest of the night, so you get more photos from our photo shoot :) Later that evening, we went to "The Italian Restaurante" AKA a restaurant in our own kitchen complete with a SEVEN COURSE MEAL. I planned a nefarious plan. The lay down:
Hors d' oeuvres (which I have no clue how to pronounce): baby bagel pizzas, mozzarella sticks, and little smokies. Soup: creamy potato bacon (it was from a can, and I don't know if something was wrong or what, but it was DISGUSTING! We threw it away) 😣 Salad: sunflower bacon. Appetizer: butter garlic
rolls. Main course: ravioli and fried chicken. (We were too full for the actual food by this point haha!) Dessert: chocolate cherry cobbler. Mignardise (also can't pronounce): chocolate dipped strawberry, plated VERY fancily ;) AKA I put chocolate syrup swirls behind it.

I grabbed Dailen's hand, "It's time to go, I'm so excited to go to this restaurant!" Then we walked simply over to the table hehe. For each course I would make up some excuse ("I need to go to the bathroom," "I think the car's unlocked by accident," "My phone's ringing,") and then I would leave the room and this delightful waiter who looked exactly like me but with a beautiful red mustache under their lip would enter the room (def not me haha) and bring the food and take care of old plates. Too bad I never got to meet the waiter, I heard he was delightful. Haha Dailen kept asking me how I came up with the idea but I was too into it. "What do you mean, we're just at a restaurant? I'm so confused what you mean," I'd reply. All my acting in jr. high paid off haha.
To end the night I made Dailen watch another cute romantic movie with me- Pride and Prejudice. It's been popping up in my Facebook feed for some time (not sure why) so I really wanted to watch it again. Such a goody! Dailen may or may not have fallen asleep halfway through (not sure why, it was riveting...)
To end: "We are all fools in love." -Jane Austin (Pride and Prejudice). We hope to add to our love soon with little hands and little heartbeats ❤
